Traditional Ateliers was set up as a working studio in 2014, by Tasleema Alam.
Tasleema is an artist, designer and educator. She delivers private and corporate workshops, whilst also being a commissioned artist. She has delivered workshops internationally, including Southbank UK, Edward Kennedy Center, Bangladesh, and for Turquoise Mountain Saudi Arabia (TMT).
Tasleema graduated from the Princes School of Traditional Arts, with an MA in Visual Islamic and Traditional Arts. She has had the privilege of being taught by Professor Keith Critchlow. Her paintings are in several prestigious private collections including von Thyssen Bornemisza, Jameel and Abu Dhabi Tourism Board.
Her recent commissions include designs for Leighton House Museum and a Hijrah exhibition for ITHRA, courtesy of TMT.
Traditional Ateliers was established to share knowledge of Islamic Art, collaborate with and revive heritage arts.
